jDownloads Content Plugin Version:1.18

jDownloads content plugin to display downloads of jDownloads in Joomla 1.5.x contents.
Usage:
  • {jd_file file==#ID} where #ID stands for the ID-number of the download in jDownloads.
  • {jd_file category==1 count==5} category==1 is the chosen category id. count==5 is die number of viewed downloads from this category, when it is 0 all files are listed.
  • {jd_file latest==5} Views the 5 newest downloads.
  • {jd_file hottest==5} Views the 5 top downloads.
  • {jd_file updated==5} Views the 5 last updated downloads.
  • {jd_file onlinelayout==layout name} Additional to the placeholders above, you can use this to select for the view a different file layout.So it is possible to use in the same content various layouts. Example: {jd_file onlinelayout==Simple File List}{jd_file latest==5}
To change the parameters of the plugin go to the configuration of jDownloads (Plugins-Tab). Please don't forget to publish this plugin in Joomla!

Update 2010-06-05: Version 1.8.0 published. I have added a new function to view all (or a chosen amount) downloads from a category in a article content.
You must use this syntax in your article content:
{jd_file category==1 count==5}
category==1 is the chosen category id.
count==5 is die number of viewed downloads from this category, when it is 0 all files are listed.

Update 2010-07-25: Version 1.9.1 published. You must install this version when you use jDownloads v1.7.4.
- You can now also use the new Editor Button Plugin to insert files in your content.
- I have also added a new option to set the lenght from the description in the frontend. Your find this option in the jDownloads configuration TAB: Plugins.

Update 2010-08-23: Some users has problems with the plugin support for other joomla plugins in the content plugin output. So i has this support removed for the moment. I will add it in a later version again, but only as option. The versions number is not changed, only the filename to: jdownloads_content_plugin_1.9.1b.zip

Update 2010-11-11: Version 1.10 published. Support for the new member groups from jDownloads 1.8 and newer added. When you use jD 1.8 you must also install this plugin version.

  •  When you has selected for the plugin a files layout with custom fields, it was only viewed the custom fields placeholder
  • The license title was not always correct viewed
  • Few HTML fixes
Update 2011-01-11: Version 1.12 published.
Fixed:
  • sometimes was viewed a 'Cannot redeclare...' Error
  • handling with the menu Item-id overworked
Update 2011-01-11: Version 1.13 published. The message: "Please register or login to download files from this category." is now viewed in the output, when the user has no access to download the file immediate.

Update 2011-04-01: Version 1.14 published. The url to the download details view was not always correct builded.

Update 2011-06-11: Version 1.15 published. The jDownloads option: Use files title as download link is now also supported in the plugin.

Update 2011-10-07: Version 1.16 published.
  • Fixed: Not all Custom Field types was correct viewed
  • Added: New placeholder 'updated'. You can now use this syntax to viewthe last 5 updated downloads in a content: {jd_file updated==5} (Many thanks at MDS).
Update 2011-10-09: Version 1.17 published. The files layout placeholders: {files_title_begin} {files_title_text} {files_title_end} are now also supported.

Hi,

Can we also have the music player (embed mp3 player) when this content plugin showing mp3 files?

For eg, i use this plugin to show mp3s in my articles.. where i would like to embed a player so that users can play as well.

thnks for this wonderful plugin

The css is loaded, but you must not use it.
The plugin used the selected jDownloads layout. See jD configuration TAB: Plugins.

When anybody has problems with the last release, please use the forum.
