Details

A user on my website changed he's name and now all files he uploaded have the old name.
After i checked the MySQL i noticed JDownloads doesn't use the user ID system for "created_by" and "modified_by" like all joomla extensions do.
This task depends upon

Upps... yes i agree. This bad user handling comes from a early version and was not corrected in later releases.
Not a good situation. But for the jD v1.8.2 it is to late to fix it.
But i will correct it for the next release and for the Joomla 1.6 compatible release.
