Hi,

I wrote a description for a category. Then I created a new menu item with a single category, but unfortunately the description is not displayed. I added the word {cat_description} in the layout but only this word appears.
What am I doing wrong?

HiThat does seem to be an anomaly as the menu item does allow showing the Category description but it is not being shown!
Looks like a layout 'challenge'.
The Description is shown in the List All Layouts but that is not helpful!

I will move this item to the 'bug' list

Hello, any update on this bug? I'm also affected by it. I tried everything but no category description is displayed. Using latest release 3.9.7.2

Hi
I have looked into this in more detail. In Options - FrontEnd tab - Category Header Info set option 'Show Category Info' to Yes.
Attached pic shows the result
Apologies for not finding this the first time but it is one of the few things I had not checked :(

Note the Category Information will be shown for every category even if there is no description
