Hi
If a standard 3.9 layout is copied the resultant layout does not have a preview-id.

Hi,
the preview-id is only required when it exist a corresponding image. Normally is will be a layout only copied when it is planned to make changes on it. So it can to this point not exist an image that can give a preview from a later designed layout. Or should I misunderstand what you mean?

Hi, Yes a misunderstanding - should have made it clearer
If a layout with a valid preview image is copied then the resultant layout does not have a preview image
