Title: Change max allowed dimension
Post by: pandola on 07.12.2021 09:06:36
Hello,

I am running a website with

- jDownloads Version 3.2.56
- Joomla 3.10.3- PHP version 7.4.25
I cannot upload (from the backend!) files that are bigger than 8,00MB and clearly there is something which I am missing. My backend reads:So,
1) my php.ini looks OK and correctly set (to 20 MB)
2) my Configuration -> Uploads -> Maximum file size (MB) is set to 20 MB
3) I am running from the backend (as Superuser)

Definitely, there is something which I miss and I cannot understand where the 8 MB limit comes from

Thanks a lot!

Hi,
Quote- jDownloads Version 3.2.56
Please update very soon to the latest release from the 3.2 series (3.2.69).
Your old version is a security risk and over four years old!

Note also that we can only support actually releases.

About your issue:
1 Do you mean the upload in a Download form (TAB: Files Data)?
2 Or try you it via Files->Upload Files?

When it is point 1 then please try a bigger file via the second function and post afterwards he result.

Which server values are listed in the jDownloads control panel TAB Server Info?
Please post a screenshot.

Thanks.

Hello, thanks for your prompt reply. Actually, none of the two methods work for me (while originally I had tried only #1).

When trying via Files -> Upload Files, I get an "HTTP error" (see screenshot)

The two screenshots are attached.

As far as I see, the settings on php.ini are taken properly.

Thanks again for your help and support.

Hi,
thanks but I miss the screenshot from the Server Info.

And did they update to 3.2.69?
You can use the attached file. But create before a full backup from your Joomla installation.

The two different values are curious. What is noticeable that only the text with the 8 MB is displayed in Italian. Is the backend language in English or in Italien?

Edit:
And what exactly is the error message?

Hello,

thanks again for your reply.

The language of my backend is actually Italian.

I will try to update to 3.2.69 and I will let you know.

When I tried to upload via "Files -> Upload Files", the screen gets refreshed and the yellow triangle appears on the right (see attach), with the message "HTTP error".

What do you mean by "Screenshot with the Server Info"?

Thanks again for your time and patience.
