Title: Re:cron and special char
Post by: SoundHunter on 05.05.2024 14:37:24
Hello,

Since our migration from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 our download area check works not correct anymore.
The scan finishes correct and find a new file to add (test mode), when I let it add to the downloads database it gives a 500 error (see attached screenshot with Joomla debug on).

How could I fix this error?

Thank you!

Hi
Could you please setup the debug as indicated in the article
https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation/general-items-v3-9/turn-on-joomla-debug

We do need it as text please.
Colin

Hi Colin,

I did the debug as asked and have send a PM with it.
Hopefully you can find a solution for it.
Could it also be part of this problem I still have?: https://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=14263.0

Thank you!

Hi Colin,

After having contact yesterday with the maintainer of Event Gallery and a good and fast support from him the problem is fixed by adding this line of code to jDownloads scan.php on line 113: $app->loadLanguage($language);
I just sended Arno some information via PM so he can create a bugfix for an upcoming release.

All credits for this solution to Sven Blüge from Event Gallery.

This post can be set to completed after bringing out the bugfix, thank you!
