- Make sure, that you have deactivated all Cache and Compress options in the Joomla configuration and template settings.
What is the problem in detail:
- What you were trying to do, what the errors were.
I need to use the "default" JD search tool to search for content other than JD for the site. Or get the Joomla Search or Smart Search to be able to search JD files. I am not experiencing any error messages.
- What you have tried to solve the issue (changing settings).
I have seen posts where only the Joomla Search works to search JD files, however, I'm unable to find a way to make it happen.
- What searches you have done.
I've tried going over the online documentation, and it states the following:
"Search Plugin for jDownloads
With this plugin, you can also use the Joomla search module to find downloads."

Thank you for your assistance. I did publish the "Search - jDownloads" plug-in, and since I already had a module for the Joomla "built-in" "Search" I was expecting to be able to search JD categories and downloads. So I trashed that module and created a new Search module and after publishing it, it works. I guess my Joomla has caching enabled or something. We'll see.
