Title: Fill download data from an XML file?
Post by: Dmitry_ on 15.01.2016 14:00:45
Hello! Thanks so much for your amazing product! My question is about the sample of the XML file to fill download info. I understand that bulk upload is available only by ftp and doesn't support the image and description for the download. But what about "Fill download data from an XML file?" Could you be so kind and give a sample of the XML file. It is much easier to create 1-2k of XML files with description than to manually fill every download. Thanks! ;)

Hi,
the option to fill the Download data via a xml file is a tribute at Joomla. So it is easier for Joomla developer (or Joomla download areas) to create her Downloads. So is also only supported the data structure from a Joomla extension installation package. This should be a zip archive with a valid xml file. See examples here: https://docs.joomla.org/Manifest_files
