News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hi,
I would like to change the search label "downloads" in joomla .
I've found an answer in the closed topic http://www.jdownloads.com/index.php/support-forum.html?topic=4959.msg18972#msg18972, but I can't find the file en-GB.plg_search_jdownloads.ini in joomla_ROOT/administrator/language/en-GB.
Where is this located in joomla 3.x

Hi
I do not quite understand as I do not see 'Download' in my search form!
Could you please post a picture indicating which text you wish to change.

It's in the standard Joomla search, with the plugin 'search-jdownloads', like discribed in http://www.jdownloads.com/index.php/support-forum.html?topic=4959.msg18972#msg18972.
It's not in the Jdownload search.
It would like to rename it 'Documents'

Hi,
All is now clear!
The relevant language file is located in
<Joomla root>/plugins/search/jdownloads/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_search_jdownloads.ini
The string you want to change is PLG_SEARCH_JDOWNLOADS_JDOWNLOADS="Downloads"

Most web sites have a suitable editor to edit directly.  If however you download the file to edit it then please be carefull which editor you use!  The only one I trust is Notepad++
