Search Box: it seams it's not working

Hi everybody, I am on Joomla 3.8.12 / JD 3.2.62 / PHP 7.1.21 / MySQL 5.5.5-10.1.36-MariaDB.

I have enabled the Search Plugin and in general all search and finder plugins are enabled.
Via components I ran a new indexing of all contents.
Then I published the joomla default search box module.
It works fine with joomla contents, but if I try to search for a file to download, I get no results.

I tried to search the exact match of the title, but the file is not shown in the results page.

Please see attached file: in the Smart Search component, filtering by content, JD is not shown.
Is this ok?

Hi
The Smart Search Component needs a jD Smart Search Plugin - which we do not have at present.  Perhaps you could add as a suggestion/enhancement.
