Joomla Frontend not publishing[Solved]

Hi Colin

I am having problems when uploading documents via the Frontend,  whilst it is uploading correctly, the document is not published.

I have set the user group creation/editing settings to publish new documents and also given the user Author Editor and Publish permissions but it will not publish the uploaded document.

If I use the backend with the same user then the document is indeed published.  The only way I can seem to get it to work from the frontend is if I upload as Superuser

I have attached a screenshot of the User group settings showing the download to published automatically.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

In the User Group Settings GroupCreation/Editting tab as well as setting the 'Publish new Downloads' continue scrolling down to the tick box section and in the Publishing section ensure you tick 'Published' -usually I tick all the boxes.
Also you did remember to set the UG Ranking of the relevant UG to a sufficiently high value - I normally create a usregroup called OploadeUG and set its ranking to 131

Thank you so much for your quick response and indeed you were spot on with the cause of my problem. It was simply needing to check the publish tick box
