Hi,
I'm trying to assign a file to an existing category.
Initially I uploaded the file to the Files section, which seemed to have worked.
However when I entered the Downloads section, and assigned the actual pdf file to a file name
no file gets assigned.
The file which was initially uploaded isn't there any longer.
I then tried to assign the file from the "Select file for uploading" field, from my HD. Initially it looks like the file name is visible within the field. Hoever when I click on either "Preview" or "Accessibility check" I get a "404 Download not found" error message.
I am on J5.2.5.

Hi
In their wisdom the Joomla people made a significant change that affects many components.  The problems started at Joomla 5.2.4 Arno is busy making a new release to overcome the changes.  If you have an Akeeba backup or similar for an earlier Joomla version then restorng that is one way forward.

Hi,
I have tested this but can not reproduce this here. For me it works fine also with the newest Joomla release.

Please note, however, that using the "Preview" button after the first save process only works if access is set to "public". Or you are also logged into the frontend with the appropriate access rights.
Best Regards / Gruß

Ok thanks for explaining
I think I will disable the component, until a new version that solves the issues introduced by J5.2.4 are solved. Don't have a lot of time and experytise now to restore and older joomla release.
Best regards and thanks for your dedication
