Mail to single user

Hi to everyone, I can't find a way to send an e-mail to an individual user notifying them that they have a download available.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

Could you please explain the context when you would want an email sent.Is this perhaps in connection with Single User Access?
Presently there are 4 email setups as defined in Options E-Mails tab but I am not sure any of these would be suitable.It does sound a good idea so we could perhaps look at it but I do need to understand the context.

Hi of course, as administrator of the site I make available documents to a specific user to be downloaded, it would be useful that the system would notify the user automatically that there are downloads available for him.

HiSorry to be a bit 'pernikity'.
How do you specify that the Download is just for a specific User?
This could be by having a specific User Group with only one user in the groupOr
It could be through the Single User Access settingOr
Maybe it is through the menu item List my Downloads where you mark the user as the Download Creator

OK I will look at this to see if the code could be modified to include sending an email.  As a tempoary solution could maybe use a fixed message that would include the Title of the Download.  Will take me a few days to check etc
