After the update from Joomla 3.9 to Joomla 4.2 the "Jdownloads Latest" module, which you find working here: http://www.ansuitalia.it/Portale/ultime-notizie.html
the list of new files that I insert for download is updated, but if you click on them to go to their corresponding section, a "404 error" appears and the url address is wrong. To be precise the list calls the link: http://www.ansuitalia.it/Portale/component/jdownloads/category/54-informatica.html
but the corresponding file instead is located at: http://www.ansuitalia.it/Portale/download-ansu/download/54-informatica/413-alcune-guide-per-arch-linux.html

Good evening.

Hi
Thanks for the info - seems to be related to the general 'cha'5A0EE61266E31llenge' between Joomla 4.3.0 and jD 4.0.26

Could you check that the downloadable files are still actually on the server. I expect they are but I have had an instance were the files were missing!  This however was when I had used the Batch utility to move the Downloads and their associated files.

All files are available, check for example here: http://www.ansuitalia.it/Portale/download-ansu/category/54-informatica.html

There is only one problem here: http://www.ansuitalia.it/Portale/ultime-notizie.html as if it can't find the correct way to reconstruct the exact url address anymore.
Thank you and good evening.

I'm waiting for the super expert to come back from holidays in Italy, I'm sure he'll be able to solve everything.
Good evening.

I fixed everything by changing the Jdownloads component permission setting in the components section to 755, now everything works. Thank you for everything, I hope there won't be any more problems, thank you for all your cooperation. If you want you can close this discussion, good evening.

Hi
Just for clarity you set the File permissions to 0755 using CPanel or similar.  Is that correct?

Do you recall what it was before?
This is the usual 'directory' permission when jD is installed.  For files it is usually 0644 but the configuration.php is set to 0444

The "wrong" files were also set (again) to 600, I saw on another website that I manage what permissions Jdwnloads had before the update and copied exactly, and indeed everything works. I believe the problem was in the server, as already written. Thank you and good evening.
