Display more than 10 downloads per page

Hi,

I encountered this problem a while ago, but now it's really bugging me.
Somehow I can't display more than 10 download entries per page. I know about the configuration in the backend under the tab "Frontend" and I want to display 50 entries per page. It doesn't work. Additionally the default config says 5 categories per site... I have twelve, which is fine. This setting is also not working.
I tried different layouts for the downloads, also the new standard ones. No change.

Any suggestions?

P.S. I'd also be happy about a dropdown to give the user suggestions about how many downloads he'd like to display.... just a suggestion...

This is not a layout matter as you have  found.
Of  course in any case only those that the user has view Access rights will show. But I presume it is not that.

I have just tested on my site after setting 'Number of entries per Downloads page:' to 50.  It was OK and it works as above.  Then I remembered about settings in the menu item!

Now the  List All Downloads menu item type has a  field 'Number of Downloads to List' in the List Layouts tab - the regular setting  is 'Use Configuration Settings' but you can select a value from a pull down list.  One of the values is 10. That setting will override the Config setting.
Similarly the List all Categories menu item  type has a  field 'Number of Categories to List' in its List Layouts tab.

May be that is the 'challenge'.  Please let us  know result.
