Hi

I'm not shure about this. Is there  a way to publish the downloads immediately?
I use  a cron-Job to scan the directories from time to time. But as i unterstand, when autoscan is disabled (recommended when using cronjob) autopublish is not possible? A Front-End user should see his "upload" immediately. How to do that.

Thank You

Chris,
The Cron job runs the Scan that would have been run if auto scan was enabled.  The reason for not having Autoscan active is to avoid the possibility of two scan process running at the same time.

So if you set in Config - Monitoring tab field "Automatically publish Downloads?" to Yes then they are published immediately.
I have modified the documentation slightly to help clarify.

Hi Colin
Thank you. So i can disable the Autoscan and enable the Autopuplish function? It seems to work (autopublish) when i'm logged in as a Superadmin. But it doesn't work when i logged in with another Role. So it seems to be an ACL issue..

Cheers

Hi
#Glad it was sorted out.
I presumed you were working from the Back End. If you are working from the Front End you need to set the User Groups Settings - Group Creation/Editing Settings section - field "Publish new Downloads" for the relevant User Group.  Also set the ranking value high as described in documentation
