Hello,
I have a new problem, I have added some categories and those contains files, however when I access the folder I get this error and dunno how to fix it "No files available yet for this category!"

Another thing is my "Latest downloads" doesn't show the latest files that I added. Note that the files are visible to guests but without access to download, can be from this the issue? because the other files that are for public appears without problems.

Thank you

Hi
You have two separate questions here.  First how did you create the Downloads? Front End or Back End

Are they published?  If the Downloads you created are not published then from the front end they are 'not there'.  Also if the Permissions or Access do not permit the user to see them then again they are 'not there'.  To see if they are really there or not you need to look at them in the backend.

Also when you created them did you mark them as New? This is necessary for Latest module to be able to pick them out.

I could probably help better if you PM the site details

I set the permissions to view but only special to download and yes if I log I can see them but don't see them like normal user and I don't understand why? since the files appears on download but not on latest. The file are marked as New automatically and remain like that for 7 days.

The Downloads were created in Back End I guess using FTP and then modifying manually the files in Download.

Thank you

This is not an error message but only a hint for the visitor. But you can deactivate this message in the jD configuration (TAB: Frontend).

I saw 2 options in Frontend TAB and still if I settled them to NO that message still appears.

Hi
The field in Config - Front End tab is "Show empty categories message?" If you set that field to No and Save then the message "No files are available yet for this category." does not appear.

Thank you..by any chance can you help me with the same thing but with the version 1.8.4 ? I have an old 1.5 joomla site and want to modify there too..appreciate it.

Hi
Version 1.8.4 is before my time!!  I do not have a copy so I do not know where to begin.
The best I can offer is to look at the site but I would need super user access, and if you do send details by PM ( little squarish box near my name) then first make a site backup.
And of course explain what is the problem.  Might also need FTP access to the site as well if any source code edits needed.
