JDownloads Information Box

Hello,

i just installed the JDownloads in the Backend of my Joomla-Website. In the Frontend there is now a huge grey information box under every Download-Link. Is there any option in the Backend to switch off this Information box?

Hi,
The short answer is Yes.It depends which Layout you are using.The Layout 'File Layout Single Line 3.2' does what its name suggests.
If you are unfamiliar with Layouts the the following article might helphttp://www.jdownloads.net/documentation-for-jd3-2/layouts-v3-2/layouts-overview-an-introduction
To switch layouts  in the jD Control panel seect Layouts and the Files Layout.  Yo can switch to another layout by ticking the checkbox  of the relevant layout and then click on  the Activate button in the tool bar.
The Compact layouts might be more suitable as they have the information on a single line. But you will need to download them to your device fromhttp://www.jdownloads.com/index.php/downloads/category/11-files-layouts.html
Then using the Import button in the tool bar on the main Layout page you can load those into your system.  NB these layouts are automaticaly included in the upcoming jD3.9 release.

Hi. you write, that i have to change in Joomla-Backend to JDwonloads - Control-Center and there to the section Layouts.
After that i have to change to the section file layouts.
But there is no file-layouts possible to choose.

You can see it in the screenshot, attached to this posting.

You need to click on the Files 'box'. 
Then tick the box next to 'Files Layout Single Line v3.2 ' and click on the Activate button.

i dont understand.
what do you mean with files box?
you see my screenshot - it is german, but if i click on Dateien there is no box i could choose.

i can only choose language-file / Sprachedatei or css-file / Css-Dateien. But i think this is not, what you mean.

maybe... i have to import something before i can do what you want to explain to me?

I can only check layout -> Download and there i could choose / activate the element "Dateien Layout mit nur einer Zeit 3.2"

If i activate it... on the website the layout dont change :-(

If you have caching turned on you will need to clear both the Joomla cache and your browser cache to see the effectAlternatively start another front end session

hi, thank you for your answer.

But... this dont change the information-box in the download-list, it only change the listing of downloads.
On the demo of jdownloads.com i could test it...

I want to change the information box down the download-details
i could change the files by hand... but on the next update... i dont know, whether it will be overwritten by update-procedure.

this informationbox on download-details... that is fine.
I downloaded the xml-file and tried to import it.

While import-procedure i got an error:
0 Call to a member function redirect() on null

The import-procedure dont run to the end :-(

okay,

i downloaded the xm-file again, and now it works, if i go over Frontend -> menu -> download -> Category.

Every download there it is displayed with a short information-line. This works fine

But... if i write an text-item in joomla and used within this text the JDownloads-Plugin... the include JDownloads-File-Information is not shown in a single line :-( There will be displayed the big information field.

What i have to change, to display this informationbox in plugins in a single line also.
