jd1 shows the download folder category and it is empty.
jd2 shows the category but only in a song. I can't choose another category here.
jd3 shows this again and the vps4.doc file to upload.
jd4 shows that after uupload in cat 25 the category is empty.
jd5 shows the contents of the folder belonging to cat 25 on the server, the uploaded vps4.doc file is here.
jd6 however shows that the category is empty
however, jd7 shows that vps4 cannot be found.

Ni,
QuoteCorrect the miss in jdownloads od advise me how to get around this miss

At first, you have now 5 reports posted. Most of them with only a short sentence as a description of the error.
No word on which jDownloads version you tested, whether it was a new installation or an update, which PHP version you use, etc. So please read the hints here.

We also often need additional information to be able to reproduce reported errors here at all. Unfortunately, you have not answered these questions. Unfortunately, this is not helpful and only makes more work, since you obviously also reported errors from earlier versions that have been fixed in the meantime. Therefore, you should ALWAYS use the latest beta version.

Some of the errors now reported here they have already reported in previous posts. Since we cannot reproduce many of them here with the latest version, I am currently assuming that it is either an older version, or it could be due to your specific settings or other installed extensions/templates.

Basically, early beta versions should always be tested with a freshly installed Joomla version using the standard settings and templates and without additional extensions from other developers. More extensive tests, including interaction with other templates and extensions, should only be carried out once all the bugs identified up to that point have been removed.

I would therefore like to ask you to install an appropriate new test environment, or at least use a backup to go back to the status before the jDownloads upgrade and try a new upgrade with the latest test version.

Edit:
I will publish in the next hour a new version. So please wait on this.

I am sorry I followed this:

If NO, the following scenario is assumed:
    1. Joomla 3.10 was updated to Joomla 4
    2. afterwards you tried an upgrade to a  jDownloads 4 beta release!

So what did I wrong?

I will stop testing and wait for the final version. Uninstall the existing Jdownloads and install the new version. Then rebuild the content.
I'm sorry I gave you unnecessary work.

Did you follow the procedure
https://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=13728.0;attach=16978

I did not see a single reference to the required information. Excuse me if I missed it. Perhaps I should revise the text as it seems to be ambiguous.  ::) :-\
