Files download for registered user but visible to public

Hello
i'm using the 4 version from some days, so i'm tryng to set the category/files to be visible to all guest but only registered user can download it

You need to set the Permissions

Basically when jD 4 first installed the so called 'Component' permission will allow everyone to download. So the Public usergroup needs to set to Inherited -NEVER set a permission to Deied as is causes unexpected side effects.Then at each Top Level jD Category ensure Public UG download permission is set to inherited but the Registerd UG Ddownload permission is set to Allowed.
