Hi!
I`ve been using jdownloads for many years. Thank you so much!

I`ve got a strange issue after one of the recent updates. Couldn`t say exactly which one.

Downloading does not start after solving the captcha. A message is returned: "Deze sitesleutel staat niet aan voor de onzichtbare captcha." (This site key is not enabled for the invisible captcha.)

Captcha works perfectly with the contactform though.

Spent hours trying to solve this, but no luck. Help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
I have tested the changes in version 4.0.38 very extensively and successfully again and again.
- with Joomla 4 and also with Joomla 5.
- with the Google reCaptcha plugin and with the hCaptcha plugin.

The error could therefore lie in the configuration. However, it is strange that it works in the contact form.
Are you perhaps using overrides for jDownloads pages?

If I could get access, I can have a look at it in your backend.

Until clarification, you should deactivate the captcha in jDownloads for the corresponding user group.

QuoteThe error "This site key is not enabled for the invisible CAPTCHA" usually appears when you use a site key generated for another type of CAPTCHA on an invisible CAPTCHA setup. To fix this error, you need to ensure that the site key you're using matches the type of reCAPTCHA you're trying to implement on your forms.

Thanks Arno, happy newyear!

No. I wouldn`t know how to use overides if I intended to, so i guess I do not use them  for jDownloads pages.

Reviewed my configuration and tested again.

Google Recaptcha settings: V2 checkbox
Site settings: Captcha – ReCaptcha
Plugin settings: Captcha – ReCaptcha ; version 2.0. Keys match. enabled
JDownloads usergroup settings: yes
Contactform settings: Use general
Downloads result: captcha checkbox shows, check I`m not a robot, continue, nothing happens (fail)
Contactform result: captcha checkbox shows, 2 puzzles on initial test, sent (succes)

Then I switched to invisible captcha:

Google Recaptcha settings: V2 invisible
Site settings: Captcha – Invisible ReCaptcha
Plugin settings: Captcha – invisible ReCaptcha ; version 2.0. Keys match, enabled
JDownloads usergroup settings: yes
Contactform settings: Use general
JDownloads result: Result: captcha badge shows, 2 puzzles on initial test, download button available, download (success)
Contactform resul: captcha badge shows, sent (success)

I left my settings on the latter for now as the invisible captch does seem to work.

Sure, I`ll send you a pm with credentials. Thanks!

Hi,
thanks for the update.

Joomla 5 has removed the old reCaptcha plugin v2. And Google has also long recommended switching to the newer (invisible) captcha v3.

So I had removed the support for the old plugin in latest version. I should probably have pointed this out more.  ::)
