serge

hello,

I had a problem that was reported to me by a user.
I had a dot in my download path ( /mysite.com/jdownloads )
impossible to download
once I removed the dot ( /mysitecom/jdownloads ) the download worked again.
It would be a good idea to correct this if possible, as sometimes the host creates such a folder by default.

Thanks

Yes the Category code could extend the check on "illegal" characters.  Presently I know it will not accept £ $ % and similar as they are illegal characters for a folder.  But . is acceptable! so it would mean extra code.

Could you perhaps add it as a suggestion.
Thanks
Colin

Hi Serge,
I have now come across your post again after a somewhat longer period of time.

I think you mean a dot in a category name?

With the attached 'Files and Folders' settings it works fine.
