What happened to 3.9.8?

I had version 3.9.8 installed and running but during the update to Joomla 4 jDownloads ceased working. I tried installing Version 4.0.43 which only complains that version 3.9 is needed. I've attached a couple of screen captures in case anyone can glean a solution.

you need to be on Joomla 3.10.2 or higher and jD 3.9.8.6 or higher

Hi Colin,

I had jDownloads version 3.9.8.4 installed and working within Joomla 3.10. I made it to Joomla Version 4 but somehow I lost jDownloads:
I've attached the error message I got when I tried to update jDownloads.
