Gents,

I am trying to get two DVD images into my file library. Yep, I know they are big but I think sizes of files will only increase the next 10 years.

So I did the follwing:

1, Tried both .ZIP as .RAR format
2. Tried both IE and Firefox
3. Increased the limit on the backend
4. Changed the crucial php.ini values with size of 8192
5. Tried several ways to upload: FTP and automatic download by jDownloads.

The download starts, the Windows "Save As" dialog appears and then there is only a file with no size...
HTTP should handle these sizes.

Anything else?

The files appear in my downloads but with strange, negatieve size values.
So it looks like something goes wrong already in the upload phase.

Not sure how to pass the details of my site to you but I have created a Superuser account for you to investigage.

<-- That's 8 MB and you need several GB I guess...you should upload those files via FTP it will never work using php functions

I can not find the login data for your backend. Are you sure that you have already send it?

Your problem is the upload or the download?
For the upload can you use a ftp program. Afterwards can you easy create a Download for this in the jD backend.

When you will download it via the jDownloads php script:
- check the settings for the corresponding user groups in 'User Groups Settings' from jD.
- especially the limitations
- when nothing helps can you use this option (see pic). Then is the file download handled only by the browser.

Arno,

I believe things get wrong during the upload...
This is what I have done:

1. Use WinSCP ot FTP the file to a jdownloads "_upload" folder
2. File is there: so far, so good.
3. File does not appear in jDownloads upload root folder (with the files that have not yet been assigned to a Download).
4. Then I try the The 'Plupload' script. It starts the upload, quite slowly. This way jDownloads should "detect" the file?
5. After it reaches 100% it says "Http Error" with an orange warning sign.
6. Not sure if this is the right way though. I already uploaded the file via FTP...

7. Then from the backend I create a new download.
8. From the Files Data section on the right I can browse to my large file.
9. If I set the right parameters and check permissions the browser says "Sending request to..." It seems like it's uploading or something? This takes quite some time.
10. After a while I see "1 New file(s) found and added to the database.".
11. Furthermore:
Information about Download Area check:
No new directory found.
No new files found.
All published category directories exist.
All published Downloads exist.
12. Now from the frontend: The Download does exist but is only about 34MB.
13. When I click on "Download" I just get the small file...

I did send you the login data... you even logged in :-)

Will send you the data again.

Thanks!

Theo.
