Hi. I'm running JDownloads 3.2.31 on Joomla 3.4.1. When I upload a .pdf file from the front-end, it uploads without an error, but when I go the to view/download it, it show up as being a .zip file and can't be downloaded. Here's a copy of the log entry: Thursday, 16 April 2015 10:16    CSD Tester    76.25.96.156    TESTING    Swing Thrus0.pdf    505 KB    Upload    6. A screen shot of the download details for the file is attached.

Hi
The blue pencil beside the name tells you it is unpublished.  Hovering the mouse over it gives an explanation.  Will endeavour to improve documentation.

When you upload from the front end you need to set the file type icon manually.
So in fact everything is as expected.  No doubt like your self, I also think it would be better if in the upload the icon was 'auto set'  if it had not been set positively. It is as it is now for historic reasons.  Maybe you could add a suggestion!

This is not a bug!
Colin

PS I have split this topic as you raised a separate issue (see post http://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=8083 )
Also as not a bug I have moved to General

Thank you. Like you, I think that the icon should be automatically associated with the file, or at least its selection should be located close to where the file is selected with the need to manually select it made very clear.

Hi
Please post in the Suggestions - Feature Requests part of the Forum.  Basically the more user requests for something the higher the probability!!
I only count as one vote!!

Hi,
must comfirm here a little bug:
At first was in the save process assigned the correct icon type, but later changed again with the as default defined from the configuration (in this case zip.png).
Is fixed now in 3.2.32.  ;)

So 'auto set' works now again.
Best Regards / Gruß
