News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hi Reader,

I browsed/looked at search but I cannot find if jdownloads is compatible with Joomla 3.5.1 PHP 7.0.7.

Yes, this should not be a problem. We had tested here many things. But we can not give any guarantee.

Hi Arno,

Thanks for your answer.

There is a problem with SiteGround and jDownloads. We use PHP mail due to that we host our own mail servers. We have no problems with PHP mail with our own IIS servers and also not on some  other hosters using Apatche.

The procedure to get the pop-up where to save the file is so long delayed that it is out of time by SiteGround, so our customers never see the pop-up. Reason is that, the email rules at SiteGround are strict so the confirmation email cannot be sent and delay the process, we solved it now by just switching this confirmation OFF.

It would be great when jDownloads can be compatible with the more stricter rules of SiteGround for PHP mail.

Regards,

Wella
