Clicking on "download" arrow directly plays "jdownloads" file, with no download

Hi,

I have been facing a strange behaviour for several weeks: when clicking the "download" button displayed to the right of the jdownloads player, I get a new tab displaying and starting a player, instead of downloading the file.
Moreover, the "play" right arrow is greyed-out, see attached screen-shot.

I suspect this may have come from a recent update.
Has this issue already been reported? Any idea for a fix?

P.S. I am using Joomla 3.10.11 with Jdownloads 3.9.8.4.
