Please note that I need always a few informations with your bug report:

  - Joomla Version:
  - Installed jDownloads Version (see jDownloads control page at the footer)
  - PHP Version:
  - Use you the standard backend template?
  - It is a new Joomla 4 installation?

If NO, the following scenario is assumed:
       1. Joomla 3.10 with jDownloads 3.9.8.7 was updated to Joomla 4
       2. afterwards you tried an upgrade to a jDownloads 4 beta release!

Note: It is not possible to upgrade directly from the much older version 3.2.x to version 4! In such cases, it is always necessary to upgrade to version 3.9 first. Only then can an update to version 4 be carried out.

It is usually not enough to just report the error. The most important information about the test environment, including the settings, is also needed! jDownloads has a function in the tools to export the current settings of an installation. So please use this option if you report a bug and use other than the default settings. The more details, the better.  ;)

It is also important to be able to reproduce the error with simple, clear step-by-step instructions. Remember that others will not have access to your website data, so you need to be able to explain how to reproduce the error with easy-to-follow steps. Only with this data is it possible for us to locate and fix the error.

Always remember, once you run the test on a customised website, the conditions are often quite different from our tests with the default settings and only the Joomla extensions. Therefore, errors can only appear with you and remain hidden for all other users! The jDownloads settings alone contain hundreds of options and it is therefore almost impossible to test all conceivable combinations of settings.

Also screenshots can be use very useful!

Please note that all bugs that can be reproduced will be fixed first.
