News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hello everyone, community.

I'm using this fabulous component to make download links for a series of technical manuals.

It's going great, but now I've found a limitation to see if someone happened to it and if there is some kind of way to do it.

As we know, you select each file and make a download link and publish it.

But I have a folder with 1000 files, and I would like to make all the download links.

Is there any way to do a kind of batch download links, that is, bookmark a folder and generate the download links automatically?

It's just that doing the process 1000 times seems like an eternity...

Thank you very much for your attention....

Hi
Maybe I do not understand fully!!  But this is a standard process.
I would not load 1000 files at the same time as your system miht time out with something part done! But 100 at a time might be AOK.

First in jD Options -Monitoring tab- General set 'Automatically publish new found Items' to Yes
Next use FTP or similar to copy your  files (up to say 100 a time) in the required directory/folder structure to the jdownloads directory in the root of your site.
Then use the Check Download Button at the bottom of the  jDownloads Control Panel.
It might be wise to use test run setting initially to see effect of file size.

See https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation/options-configuration-v3-9/monitoring-options-and-checking-the-download-area for more details.
