Data Field Selection not saving - [Fixed in 4.0.47]

Hello,
I had the same problem of not being able to publish via the front end, as described under Joomla Frontend not publishing[Solved], and I had guessed that this might solve my problem.
However, I also wanted to adjust the Data Field Selection listed below "Group Creation / Editing Settings".  I changed a number of tick boxes and saved, but it does not save my selections.
I had done this for a new user group, UPloaderUG as mentioned in the documentation, but then also tried it on Publisher. Publisher started off with a lot of items ticked, more than I need, but a save resulted in only the Title and Category being ticked.  I tried this also with Chrome as well as Firefox.
This is on Joomla 5. Is that a problem, or some other server issue?

I apologize if I am missing something - I am new to jDownloads but it looks great for what I need.

Thanks for your input.  It so happens that I was also trying to setup the 'tick settings' in the data Field Selection section and found that thetick boxes are not being set when you Save or Save & Close.
So I will uprate this to a Bug. Think it is actually a Joomla 5 "challenge" I am using Joomla 5.2.4

I have created a new test site with Joomla 4.4.4
And all is well. So in the next few days I will gradually step up the Joomla Level to see where it goes wrong

Not yet as my main PC managed to loose is login!! Am now on my laptop whilst the Main Pc is being  sorted

BTW the letters verification is very difficult to get past, even repeating, playing the language, etc. It takes numerous attempts.

Joomla 5.2.5 changed some fundamental code that affected jD.  Arno is busy creating a jD update to solve this 'challenge'.  If you have an akeeba backup or similar of your site before Jooma 5.2.5 then I would suggest you revert until the next jD update is published.  This Joomla change has affected many applications.
