Joomla version: 3.3.6
PHP Version 5.4.11

Updating 1.9.2.11 to 3.2 version

I am getting imported content in small increments. Each time the START IMPORT stops at a certain point and closes to frontpage.  I need to return to JDownloads and click START IMPORT again. It has been an hour of doing this without any sign of completion.

My php.ini
upload_max_filesize = 2000M;
post_max_size = 2010M;
max_execution_time = 40000000;
max_input_time = 40000000;
memory_limit = 2010M;

Any suggestions?

Hi,
sorry for the delay, i have not seen your post before.  :-\

How much items have you in (the old) jD categories and jD  files DB table?
Try you the update process on a server or locally?

I reverted back to 1.9.2.11 Beta. I will wait for the stable version of 3.2 upgrade.

My host is DreamHost using a dedicated server.
Install site #1
The download archive contains currently 859 downloads in 107 categories.

Install site #3
The download archive contains currently 839 downloads in 42 categories

Thank you for all that you do.

Hi
There does seem to be some issues with some servers about transferring a large number of files.  It is being looked at.  A temporary way forward may be to do the transfer on your local PC (XAMP, WAMP,..) where you can get rid of any server restrictions.
Just a thought.

Thanks Colin for the suggestion. I used the extension JAMP which has been perfect the past few years.

Joomla is ending 2.5 support so I was forced to deal with this before a stable release.

It worked great using local server for all three upgrade installs from J25 to J3.3 then and importing to the new jDownloads Version 3.2.18 Beta

It easily upgraded and imported.

However, I am stuck on the the directions as to what I need to do for syncing OLD ID# to NEW ID#.

2 Questions:

1 - Do I need to take the OLD ID# and redirect links for 222 categories and 2049 downloads in order for internal and external links to NEW ID#?

Example:

OLD ID#
index.php/public-downloads/finish/16-onguard-online/53-video-stand-up-to-cyberbullying

NEW ID#
index.php/public-downloads/send/13-onguard-online/48-video-stand-up-to-cyberbullying

2. Internal links - I changed {jd_file file==53} to new {jd_file file==48} and the source code doesn't show download.

Hi
I will need to consult with Arno on this as that is more his field.
Are the links direct menu links?  Or are they links in articles?

The links are from several sources.

1. internal links (not using button to produce as in a newsletter online)

2. external links from Websites allowed to hotlink.

and

New ID {jd_file file==48} in article has this printed "Cannot find the layout Standard 1.8"

Hmm, the reference to a 1.8 layout is not good.  I looked at your very nice web site and tried some downloads eg Humpty Dumpty. The link reference was

<a target="_blank" href="/index.php/component/jdownloads/finish/9-picture-books/1443-humpty-dumpty?Itemid=134" title="Download" class="jd_download_url"><img src="https://www.ebookbag.org/images/jdownloads/downloadimages/download2.png" alt="Download" title="Download" align="middle" border="0"><br>Download</a>

As all was well I guess that is running on jD 1.9.x as it is your production site.  Could you confirm please. Is this on joomla 2.5 or 3.x?  And which version of jDownloads?

Is  it possible to have access to your test site?

The live Web site isn't the working test site. I have the working test site on my local server. I will load it to a subdomain but it is 80 GB and needs to upload over night. I will add a link for you to view after it is completed.

Enjoy a great Holiday with your family and friends.

I have uploaded a copy of the test site to this link.  http://www.admin.kidsactivitydownloads.com/index.php/multimedia/category-blog-view/129-stand-up-to-cyberbullying-video

You can find the error {jd_file file==48} in article has this printed "Cannot find the layout Standard 1.8"
