Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hi,
when I download my zip file wiht browser from my page of Jdownload, and I unzip it, this is the error: "archive is not readable. Would you like to try a password?"
if I download it with FileZilla, I can open the file correctly.

Why I have this problem with zip file in Jdownload?
Thank you in advance

Test another zip file which is not from you. This can not be a jDownloads problem.

I think is a problem of Jdownload beacuse I made this test.
1) If you go in http://www.longonicues.com/larchive in POOL section, and download T4 file, you have this message, you will have zip problem
2) if you download directly from www.longonicues.com/jdownloads/POOL/t4.zip you don't ave problem
3) if you download from an article http://www.longonicues.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=411:longoni-pool-cue-t4-by-niels-feijen&catid=4:pool-cues&lang=it from "image" link you don't have problem

Can you help me please?
Thank you in advance

Hi,
i see what you mean.
The downloaded zip file from the download area has always an additional 'cr lf' in the first file position (compare the pics).

But fact is also, that nobody else has your problems with the zip files. So we must now search what can be in your case the reason.  ::)

I will test more at the evening. Can you send me login data for your backend via PM? Then i can check your jD settings in detail.
Maybe use you unusual special settings?

Hi,
thanks for the login data.

1. i have for the moment deactivated this option (see pic), so the download process is now managed directly by the browser. So the downloaded zip file is now valid.
We have not found the reason for your problem now. But we will test it more.

2. you had updated from the old jD series 1.9.x. As result are a few folders missing in your case.
See the second pic. All folders which are marked as unwritable are not existent or not writable.
Please check this via ftp program and make sure that this folders exist and are writeable.
Otherwise will your visotors get a error message like this:
Fatal error: Class 'ZipArchive' not found in ...
