Hi, first, many thanks for your great help!
I am happily starting a "new" topic, following your request:

Hi
I have looked at your site.  There are 5 pictures and you have resized them nicely so they are all 150px wide.  As far as I can see the text is close, perhaps too close, to the righthand side of the pictures.  The text in the first two entries is slightly lower than that in the remaining three.  Is that what is troubling you?

Please advise which Files layout you have activated.

For the Home button please start as a new topic as that helps me!!
Colin"

We are now developing the same website here:
http://family.webmaster-sos.com/

The problem can be seen on any page under the "Resource Library", this is an example:
Mixed dimension images show the problem here: (150x118 Vs. 118x150)
http://family.webmaster-sos.com/governance.html
http://family.webmaster-sos.com/domestic-violence-in-the-workplace.html

The problem is not obvious with smaller width dimension images (about 118x150)
http://family.webmaster-sos.com/business-plans-a-feasibility-studies.html

Again, assuming we have the same problem after we moved the site from server to server, I looked for your previous instructions, which worked great, I just could not find them in the forum.

Please let me know if there is ay other information I can provide to help solve the problem.

MANY THANKS!

Hi
Please note that the present arrangement is that the first image sets the width of the space for the images.  Please see first pic attached where all the text is aligned to start at the same position.

I went to http://family.webmaster-sos.com/domestic-violence-in-the-workplace.html and modified the online css so that each image now occupies its own width and the text abuts it.  See pic 2.  Is that how you would like it?  it would of course be straight forward to add more space between image and text.

Also please advise which Files Layout you are using.  It looks like "Standard Files Layout without Checkboxes v2.5"

Many thanks for your response.
Yes, the result you show in the "soacing02" image is consistent to what the client wants to see.

I went and checked the  Files Layout and could not see any selected, so, I went ahead and selected Standard Files layout v2.5

Thanks again for your help.

Hi
Did you Activate the Standard Files Layout without Checkboxes V2.5?  Is there a modified one?  I ask because the default one puts the image on the right of the screen after the description.  So I am now a bit confused! Maybe you could PM me an admin login to your test site.

Hi
I have visited layout but still a trifle confused.  Do you add any modified code (php) files?

No, I have not modified the JDownloads php files at all...

Hello again,
I wonder if you can help us solve this issue with the space within content and images.

This is the list of things I have tried to see if the problem resolves, somehow, but nothing has worked so far:
1. Updated Jdownloads to latest version
2. Updated the Joomla core to latest version
3. Updated the Gantry core to latest version
4. Updated default template to latest version

My client is insistent we must fix this issue before we launch the site. I have tried everything I can using Firebug and editing all possible areas that could help with this, but I have not been able to pin point
the code that will effect all image and content areas of JDowloads results pages, for example: http://family.webmaster-sos.com/index.php/brochures-fjc

The client's argument:
Shouldn't all images either horizontal or vertical have the same distance within the image and the content?
If the first image sets the width of the rest of the image/content relationship, all images nonetheless should maintain a consistent margin of separation to the left of the images (in this case).

We are finally getting closer to launch this website after a long year of highly complicated development. we just need to fix the issue with JDownloads and I was hoping t use the same solution you shared with me in my first post of this same issue, for which I cannot find your
very helpful images showing me how to fix the separation within images and content. i wonder is you still could find them.

Many, many thanks for your very kind support!

Looking forward to your reply.

Many thanks for you help!
The reason why my client thinks so is this: (please visit the old version of the site by pressing the following link)
http://www.familyjusticecenter.org/jdownloads/viewcategory/69-brochures-fjc.html

if you notice, all images are separate from the content with about 4 or 5 px distance. That is what they want me to fix, they want the same look in the new site.

Hi
Onyour old site the reason why everything looks fine is that all the pics are scaled to being 150px wide.
So you could do that on the new site.  There are many image re-sizing programs, one I find very useful is 'PicResizer' it is free and most importantly will resize a whole directory of pictures to the same size into a separate directory

Hello,
this will be a better example:
http://www.familyjusticecenter.org/jdownloads/viewcategory/60-governance.html

Please notice the different width in the images. The ones that are not as wide as 150px just show a bit more separation from the content.

All images are exactly the same in the old as in the new. The new site is showing the same information. Hence the client's contention, they just want the same result in the new site, content separated from images.

Looking forward to your reply,
Beatriz

Beatriz,
Just to be clear you want the new site to look like the old site where the old site is like that shown in the link below.

http://www.familyjusticecenter.org/jdownloads/viewcategory/60-governance.html

In the above example all of the descriptions are aligned so that a narrower picture has more space on its left and right.

I thought that was what the new site also did but iI need to re-check.

I am writing this on my tablet so I will need to send the second part separately.

Thank you Colin!~
Yes, that is what I need, some space within images and content.
I understand that horizontal images will show less space in relation to content, and  that vertical images show a bit more space when in vertical alignment.
Please see attached.

So we just need a little more space to the right of the pictures? The descriptions still  be aligned horizontally
