Upload in the category I'm looking at

Hello,

I am working with a lot of categories and subcategories, some of them having the same name.

As you can see in the attached screenshot, it is problematic, given that I want to have hundreds of categories by the end of development.

Is it possible to make the upload button make us upload only in the category we're looking at? I.e. browse categories, click on upload and by default upload to the category we were looking at.

At the moment there is not an easy way to do this.  One could use a set of different user groups, permissions and view access levels, and different upload menus, to reduce the number of choices but that is not really what you are seeking.  I can see this would be a useful addition.

Obviously for this to work the 'upload request' would have to come from the 'Add' Button on the category listing.  Then in User Groups Settings one would need to have a setting in the 'Group Creation/Editing Settings' tab that basically said "If using Add button use last selected Category as the Upload Category".   The actual question could be say "Restrict Add Button" with a suitable explanation.

If you put in a Suggestion under a topic such as "Extra facility with Add button" and an explanation as to why and a suggestion on how to incorporate then maybe Arno could be persuaded to add the necessary code!
