News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Gents,

Sorry to bother you with this... Have been  trying all morniing - no result.
I need to have the "category" text to be vsibile again (make the background transparent?)
See attached screenshot. Don't know what happened, it used to work just fine...

Can you please point me to the settings I need to adjust?

On a side note... If I install the latest upgrade - all the "visuals" like the CSS adjustments and custom icons will stay the same?
Or will they be like a default installation again?

Many thanks!

Theo.

Hi
Would be pleased to help.  Could you PM me your site address, and if downloading is not publicly available then also a test account for a regular downloader that I could use.  I can then see what is the problem.  If changes are needed then editing jdownloads_custom.css may be used.  It maybe that previously some css things were defaulting from your template.

Just for info have you edited any of the standard layouts?  This can affect the final results shown on the screen if you changed the inline css.  But it does not look like that.

Hi
Suggest you edit jdownloads_custom.css to add following
.jd_cat_subheader {
    background-color: #15506C !important;
}
.jd-item-page tr, .jd-item-page td {

    color: #fff !important;
    background-color: #1f6582 !important;
}

You could leave out the second background-color depending which you prefer.
NB I might not have got the colour codes quite right as I used a colour picker to select

The article below may help with editing  jdownloads_custom.css

Colin,

That looks amazing! Thanks a lot for your quick help....
I must say that of all the vendors and partners I work with you are top-notch regarding support...

That's why I donated some time ago ;)

Thanks again!

Hi
Glad it was OK.  A good review on JED would be appreciated as someone criticised our slow response one weekend when both Arno and I were away!!!
