Good Day.  I have started to use the new Tags option withing JDownloads.  I have viewed the documentation and have set my menus accordingly, but the tags are not showing up in my downloads sections.  They are, however, showing up in my Popular Tags module that I have set up on certain news pages.

Can you help me with this?

Thank you
Larry

Hi Larry
Have in whichever jD menu you are using could you please try setting the Show Tags to Show rather than Global to see if they then appear.

Hi Colin

Thanks for the response.  I have the menu that option turned on for the menu item I was testing with.  The tags themselves are filtering through to the module, but not showing on the page itself.

Thanks
Larry

Did you add the {tags} code in your files layout page?

LSK6453

I did not.  I think I missed that part.  Not really sure how to do that, but I will try to figure it out.

THanks

Go into jDownloads component in the backend.
Go to the section called "Layouts"
Click on "Download Details"
Look for the "Active" Layout and click on it
Click on edit layout
Add this exactly in the "Edit Layout" box     {tags}

Click save and go look at your pages. They should be visible now.
You can move the tag around in the layout all you want.

When I click Edit Layout, there is no box that says edit layout.  I see the big box that says Layout that has all of the code in it.

Should the {tags} piece go someplace specific in there?

Thank you for your help!

Thanks Terry

that worked on the specific download.  Now I am going to work on the layouts for the main category page to see how I can get them to show there.

I believe the same way??? Personally, I only use them on the "File Details Page" Not sure if they will work in the "Category View".

@wolfspyryt
Hi thanks for helping out

@LSK6453
Hi
Missed the start of this topic. Thought I had covered about tags in article link below. But on re-reading it could have been better in the last bit about {tags} placeholder. Will find some time to improve it.  As far as I am aware the {tags} placeholder is in all the standard layouts except Summary and Search layouts
