Hi Terry
We have found, yesterday, that if there are 2 menu item to the same category it can cause the 'doble vision'.  See http://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=8327.0
Do you have multiple menu links to same category?

I cannot see any double menu items that point to the same place.. It happens when I add another menu item to a subcategory. It has 9 subs now, When adding a 10th, a different category only doubles. if I add a 10th and 11th... they triple!!!

I will look at your site to investigate so that we may isolate the problem.  But could you PM me details of a menu items added so I can see please.  It may be the one you added was a repeat of one of the others.  Maybe the menu item names were the same?

Are you really sure that you have installed correctly the newest version 3.2.35?

QuoteUpdate 2015-07-21 version 3.2.35 published:

    bug in modules/mod_jdownloads_most_recently_downloaded/helper.php fixed
bug fixed to prevent sometimes 'double Downloads' when menu items are created for single categories
"SET SESSION SQL_BIG_SELECTS = 1" added in helpers/categories.php to prevent on servers with restrictions an sql error message

You must have installed really the version from 2015-07-21 (not an early published pre-release from the forum)! When you are not sure you can download and install it a second time.
