News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

When I update a file, the updated label does not show.  In the older versions there would be a box next to HOT that said Updated.  It is not longer there, but the download is marked as updated.

Hi
The ability to show the updated symbol is specified by the uploader in the relevant  User Groups Settings - Group Creation/Editing Settings. You will find a field "Mark Download as Updated". Click in the box to get a tick mark as shown in pic updated01.png below.  Then when when users in that user group are uploading they will see on the upload form the question "Has it been 'Updated'?" as shown in pic updated02.png

Basically User Groups Settings - Group Creation/Editing Settings define what is or is not shown in the upload form.  You can then allow different 'uploader user groups' to have different abilities.

You also of course need to set field "How many days is a Download to be considered as Updated?" in  Config - Pictures tab.

Hi Colin

I found the issue to be not entering a date in the modified field.  Without this, UPDATED will not show.
