I use the following version of JDownloads 3.2.45. I want that when I upload new PDF files via FTP in the directory created by me, is this file automatically displayed on the home page. The monitor is turned on, but it does nevertheless not, although it monitors all files. If I replace files and overwrite, only then it works. Could you please give me additional help?

Hi
Have you turned on "Automatically publish Downloads? " in Config  Monitor tab?

Hi
When you say
Quotethe directory created by me
does that directory appear as a Category when you use a List All Categories menu item?  That is is it a published Category?

When new files are uploaded to a category via FTP these appear in the backend an there are  already in the correct category for download. They are in the Backend published automatically. But only if i change the titelname in the backend , and go to save it again, only then will the download publish on the homepage. Yes it is a published category, where the downloads appear.  The files are pretty much already stored in the backend previously.

Hi

I am surprised at this, it sounds to me more like a permissions problem.

Could you please just do a Save without changing the titlename.  You will need to also clear the Browser's Cache.

Incidentally do you have Joomla! Caching enabled?

In Config Files tab could you please advise your settings of fields
Use UTF-8
Replace spaces with underscores in names?
Change names to lowercase?
Remove/Change special characters in name?

Also have you seen the note at the foot of the Files tab page
QuoteImportant information: The 'auto monitoring' function always uses the results from the function: 'Remove/Change special characters in name'. This is regardless of whether the function is activated or not. So you should only use the following characters a-zA-Z0-9 ._- in the names of files and folders which are to be added automatically.

It was because of the permissions settings of the category in the Backend from JDownloads. That was it thanks. I have given the authority to create and then works. Many thanks for the support.
