News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hi
I think this is a SEF multi language problem rather than a jD problem.  But I am not experienced in multi language!
I did a search on the web.  One response was https://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=918781
Whilst its title was 3.5.1 it also seemed to apply to 3.6 as well.

Hi
I have done a little reasearch.  There was a similar problem in 2012 see
http://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=4944.msg20632#msg20632
It seems for SEF in multi languages you need a menu item in each language, or simpler by creating menu aliases. (but not sure this works in J3.x)

Also see article https://docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Setup_a_Multilingual_Site/Creating_menus

The following article seems to me to be comprehensive and well written
http://www.slideshare.net/erictiggeler/creating-a-multilingual-site-in-joomla-joomla-3-beginners-guide-eric-tiggeler

I did a Google search with "joomla 3 multilanguage menu"
