Hi

I am using Jdownloads with a payperdownload component to sell music files - it is working great - except the jdownloads player has a download link embedded which is by-passinbg the payperdownload part - allowing direct download from the player

is there any way to remove the download option from the media player?

Hi
Which Media player are you using?
So far I have not been able to reproduce your result.  Could you send a picture of where the link is located, or pm me a link to your site so I can see what is happening please.

I`m using what ever player is native to Jdownloads / along with a component called 'payperdownload' which allows to charge for items downloaded through Jdownloads - workd great except for the download button on the player - see attached image

Normally should you use for scenarios like this the 'preview file' field.
Here can you select a special shorter version (or a version with a bad quality) from the final song.

Edit:
It can be that you must pack in this case the full song a zip archive.

Hi
I think it is some CSS or possibly some JS has been introduced by your template or an extension as the html <audio> tag does not have a download button.
See https://www.w3.org/wiki/HTML/Elements/audio for full definition.
If you use the Flowplayer audio option it should be OK.
