News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hi
Could you perhaps explain more please. Was this during the update itself?  If so this is more likely to be a Joomla! problem.
Could you also advise the following
What version of jD were you using?
What version of Joomla!
What version of PHP

Hi
Thanks for extra info.  When you tried the upgrade which method did you use?
Install from Web
Upload Package File
Install from Directory
Install from Web

If you did not use 'Upload Package File' then please try the Upload Package file method.
Also the Install process uses the existing Joomla! tmp file as defined in field 'Path to Temp Folder' in Global Config - Server tab

Also note to upgrade one uses the Extension Manager 'Install' not 'Update'.
